Bought at Systembolaget Tuna Park, Eskilstuna. Dark brown to black, small brownish head. Coffee and roasty aroma, along with rust and metal notes, a mineral touch, cooked vegetable and lacquer. The taste is better, dark chocolate coffee, roasty, wood or cardboard. Medium carbonation, medium body, quite heavy, light to moderate finish. Quite lousy.

Bottle. A dark brown to black beer with a light tan head. Lots of licorice in the aroma, with lots if dark sugar, some prunes and alcohol. Some spiced and bready notes. Sweet, sticky and full bodied on the palate, softly carbonated, lightly warming. Licorice driven flavor, dark sugar, roasted malts, coffee hints and some bonfire and alcohol. Long finish. Quite nice this one, although a bit alcoholic. 200427

Almost black beer, a head is dense, medium sized and beige. Aroma has sweetness of malts and dried fruits, low liquorice-chocolate-roastiness. Taste has roasteness, coffee, liquorice, some dried fruits, also bitterness. Medium+ bodied, quite smooth. Good beer.

Bottle at home. Four years old. Pours a dark brown to black colour with a small light brown fast fading head. Aroma of smoke, roasted malt, chocolate truffles, rubber, nuts and smoked meat. Roasted flavour with lots of ash and very dark chocolate, coffee and some oak. Has a silky mouth feel, medium to full body and a medium bitterness. Nice smoke aroma, and the flavour is very burned with lots of roasted bitterness in the end. Feels a bit unbalanced. Powerful though.
