330ml bottle. Pours black with small tan head. Lovely sweet molasses and chocolate in the aroma. Taste is smooth dark fruits with a welcome sweetness. Some chocolate, almost no roast at all, and not much brett influence but a delicious beer nonetheless.

Bottle. Opened with barely a hiss. Pours completely flat, lifeless, cola brown. Why go to such tremendous effort to brew a beer like this, and then not put the cap on the bottle properly? Gets on my wick, especially when I’ve paid the best part of a fiver for the dubious privilege. Looking beyond that, it’s not hard to see there’s a decent beer in here. Trouble is, it’s already got a score way below it probably deserves in good nick. Fuck’s sake...

Bottle share. Chocolate, oak and infection-like aroma. Coffee, moderate blackcurrants. Nice bitterness. Too thin. Needs a bit more time.
