On tap at Miezis & Ko, Riga Pours a slightly hazy raspberry red with small pinkish head. Nose has vanilla and redcurrants – what is a “chokeberry” ? Mouth is dominated by the sourness of red berries, but also some juicy sweetness with butter and a hint of diacetyl. A light malty base as well with low carbonation. Tis OK – but I’m not really a fruit beer person.

Tap @ Borefts 2015. Piinkish light amber color. Soft berry aroma. Perfumed berry flavor. Sweetish with just a hint of sourness. Nice.

Re-rate 03.08.2021: Smell-weak to medium-ish, fruits, herbal, hops, maybe chokeberry, might be a placebo. Foam- thin, weak sourness, weak bitter notes, chokeberry, hops, fruits. Head is medium to large, white maybe pink tint. Sticks. Appearance- brewer bottle cap, simple label. Bit cloudy, orange, red color medium to high carbonation. From - pint Taste - bitter-sour-sweet mix what blends together quite fine. A hint of fruits, a hint of sweetness, a hint of hops, and a hint of chokeberry sourness. Dry aftertaste. OK, but will probably not seek again. Old rating 01.03.2019: 6/3/6/3/14=3,2 I remember not liking it, lets see... Smell- weak, aronijas (Chokeberry) but very weak, some juice, herbal notes, hard to tell. Foam- thin, bit to watery side, weak sweetness, medium chokeberry, weak bitter notes. Medium-large foam, pink, white, medium thickish to low thickish (sorry for my nonsense terminology) Appearance- almost clear, red, grape juice appeal, weak carbonation bubbles. Taste- sweetness, chokeberry, juice, some sourness with the second sip, but weak, more juicy, some orange juice even, herbal, berries. I remember this being sourer, seems this is more sweet batch, or beers before prepared me.
