0.33 l bottle from Mitra Den Bosch, best before 12/2017. Clear, very dark red with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Sweetish-malty aroma of raisins, prunes, maple syrup, coffee and a bit of chocolate. Sweet, malty taste of raisins, prunes, dates and brown sugar, followed by a long, warming, medium bitter and roasty finish with notes of dark chocolate and coffee. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nicely intense, sweet but balanced by a relatively bitter finish and no alcohol detectable. Overall well-balanced and convincing. Good!

Keg at BBF 7, Bodegraven, 25/09/15. Very lightly hazed amber with a moderate beige cap. Nose is toffee, dark fruit rinds, bready notes, brown sugar. Taste comprises dark toffee, malt loaf, dates, figs, light yeast, brown bread, trace of spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi trying close with a light boost on offer. Ok for style, masks the ABV well but fails to deliver much in the way of depth for said ABV.

Bottle at Café De Koffer, Groningen, Netherlands, Friday 2nd October 2015. Chestnut brown, good clarity, sweet molasses, chewy with some caramel but also a little hop and a steady warmth, good beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

On tap at the Black Smith. Deep dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of sweet dark malts, cocoa, light roast, burnt caramel, dried dark fruits. Flavour follows, is sweet, fruity, cocoa, quite some alcohol bit nice and smooth. Medium to full bodied, creamy. Good stuff.

Thx! for sharing. Sampled draft @ Borefts 2015. Day 2. Hazy amber, malty looking. Nose is sweet caramel, sugar, malts, caramel, biscuit, thick & sugary, not really getting the hops & smell or taste that I expected given the name. Taste is sweet lightly herbal mocha, caramel, biscuit, light chocolate, sugar, touch candy,… Creamy malt body. Nice beer esp. for a NL bock.
