Brugse Zot Dubbel is a dark brown beer, inclinging towards ruby red. It is brewed with six special varieties of malt, which give the beer a rich and distrinctive aroma. One can discover the scent of honey, almonds, chocolate and even brown sugar.
By using the Czech Saaz hop from Zatec, the beer has a complex pallet of roasted malts and a distrinctive flavour. Brugse Zot Dubbel is known to leave a warm glow in the mouth with a bitter and hoppy finish leanding towards liquorice and even coffee roast.
EBC 75, 16.5° plato.

0.33l bottle. Looks superb this. A massive really light and near fluffy beige head over a dark brownish bronze colored body. On the nose it's really sweet and dark candied. Dark caramelly, lots of nutty toasty elements. Dark dried berries. Smells like it should, and it smells nice. It's not surprising high on the carbonation this and it has a mild oily texture in the mouth. Again, dark and a little sugary in the mouth. Not sweet at all, but it has that darkness from sugar or syrup. Earthy elements, mild nutty yeast. It's not very complex but it tastes and smells like it should. Sometimes that's enough. 25.02.2017

Some citrus and a little floral aroma. Dark brown pour with foamy head like bath suds in the fountain. Tangy finish. Decent. Bottle.

cloudy brown colour, large, dense beige hed, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of intensive dried cherry, plum jam with some biscuit and caramel notes; taste of dried cherry, plum jam with burnt notes, hints of chocolate and toast; good - though I cannot be objective in the case of this beer: this was one of my first ’real beers’ tasted in Brugge at the brevery several years ago during my honeymoon :-)

Hatalmas, tartós, bézs hab, sötétbarna szín. Enyhe, malátás, karamelles illat. Karamelles, pörkölt malátás, aszalt gyümölcsös, enyhe likőrös ízek. Közepesen keserű és szénsavas, közepesen testes.
