On tap at Håndverksølfestivalen 2017. It’s an unclear chestnut colored beer with a beige head. Minimal curtains. The aroma is quite vinous, with lots of dried fruits, mostly raisin, caramel, pine cone notes, citrus and generic fruityness. Some leathery notes and a wee hint of soy sauce blends in. It’s sweet on the palate, full-bodied, smooth and warming, with a vinous flavor. Caramel, fruityness, raisin, citrus and some leathery notes. Lasting vinous finish with lots of dried fruits. A true enjoy-in-your-favorite-chair beer. 170610

Bottle shared with my brother. Pours dark red with no head. Aroma is sour and Brett, balsamico, not really a lot of malt. A tad one-sided, but interesting. Big body. Flavour is sour, balsamic vinegar, very herbal, sweet too. It's really good but a bit too much almost considering all the different flavours: sweet, sour, rioja, herbs, Brett...). Finish is sweet and sour. Really nice but a tad too much for me, a focus on one flavour would've been appreciated. Still great.

Bottled 12-12-16. Thick and malty, like the regular, but with a load of woody flavors adding some bitterness, balancing out the sweetness of the base, making it dryer. Some vinous notes, fruity. Very good indeed!

At a tasting, thanks, smallish creamy head, murky brown color, aroma of jam, orange marmalade and sour brown bread, flavor of vanilla, brown bread, some toffee, a nutty hint, and ssome candy in the back. Nice, not great.

Lecker! 10/5/10/5/18

Clear brown color with a light beige head, short retention. Aroma has notes of caramel, molasses and sweet malts. Flavor is toasty, notes of dry fruits, caramel and alcoholic presence. Sweet final, alcoholic mouthfeel. Dense and smooth on palate.
