We've finally teamed up with our friends at Pizza Port Brewing Co., one of our favorite breweries in San Diego. When deciding what to make, we figured something excessively hoppy was the logical choice, and so this collaboration brew was born. This triple IPA is an intensely hoppy and bitter San Diego-style India pale ale. The light malt character and light body allow aggressive notes of pine, mango, and citrus fruits to overtake the palate, while a dry finish allows it to remain crisp and refreshing. Make the Logical Choice and enjoy this beer immediately, much like the brewers did leaving work to enjoy it in sunny San Diego. Cheers!

Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits a clear gold body that supports a thin off white head of foam. The aroma offers up spicy dank hops, grapefruit and a sense of floral hops. The taste delivers similar notes with a bit of pine in there amid the mildly juicy and somewhat bitter grapefruit and spicy onion dankness. Solid deep flavorful sipper.

26.07.2018, 12 oz can @ Fjordline cabin from Hirtshals to Bergen:
Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is sweet boozy, sap, bark, minerals, booze, sugar, wet grass, wet hops, sawdust, hay. Taste is sweet boozy, sap, wet grass, wet hops, bark, booze, minerals, pine needles, moss, paper, sugar, sawdust. Longlasting harsh bitterness, dry boozy mouthfeel. Not my cup of coffee.

An orange beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has smoothnees of mango and sweetness of caraml, pine. Taste has caramel, smooth fruitness, quite strong bitterness that's decreased by sweetness. Medium+ bodied. Caramelly, good beer.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, tag 03/13/2018, ~4 months old
Cloudy golden colour, a bit dull, and with barely any head. Mild aroma of generic fruits, light dank, touch of turmeric, rotten fruits. Good body strength, but lean mouthfeel, thanks to a very much controlled level of sugars, and the alcohol is barely noticeable, warming but not boozy; the hop is very resiny, but not much expressive, definitively not fresh, and more is expected even from a 4m old can; plenty of orange peel.
Not fresh, but pretty good.

Heavy-duty imperial IPA, a monster of a beer, with a solid caramel base offsetting waves of dank and resin and pine and massive tropical citrus notes. Mango is prominent, as are moderate peach and grapefruit and orange marmalade, with a firm bitter finish and boozy warmth. A bit wild on the back end—consider the heat brought—but a giant IPA shouldn’t be tame in the first place.

On draft at Aromas are tropical fruits. Bitter flavors of citrus zest. Big beer but not too boozy. Alesmith never disappoints.
