We've finally teamed up with our friends at Pizza Port Brewing Co., one of our favorite breweries in San Diego. When deciding what to make, we figured something excessively hoppy was the logical choice, and so this collaboration brew was born. This triple IPA is an intensely hoppy and bitter San Diego-style India pale ale. The light malt character and light body allow aggressive notes of pine, mango, and citrus fruits to overtake the palate, while a dry finish allows it to remain crisp and refreshing. Make the Logical Choice and enjoy this beer immediately, much like the brewers did leaving work to enjoy it in sunny San Diego. Cheers!

Can. Pours clear golden orange, large creamy white head, dissipates slowly with good lacing. Aroma is dank as shit, pot, resinous pine, tropical fruits, mango. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, super dank and juicy. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. A bit of heat but pretty drinkable for a TIPA>

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma has citrus/pine and tropicals. Med + body. Flavor is not quite dank, or maybe it is, with lots of citrus and some tropicals. The malt doesn’t appear for me. The flavor is somewhat wow.

12 oz. can, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out booze, light piney hops and straw. Flavour is fairly boozy, with lots of sugar, resinous hops and phenols. Beer boozy and harsh. Not one of the better beers from either brewery. Okay.

12 oz can poured. Huge thanks to Tcon for hooking up the cans of this! A beer that I knew I wanted since the day it was announced. Worth the wait, and no disappointment here. Very clean, shiny golden pour with a ton of foam head. Huge hop heavy aroma from quite a distance. Quite the fragrant introduction. Flavor is a combination of pine, bitter citrus peel, and sweet tropical fruit. Thick body. A little more sweetness to follow. Imperial, sure, but doesn’t seem double digit status. Drinks much easier. Quite a bit juicy. A warming malt finish to balance with the bitter hop linger and mango like fruit. Quite the impressive, standout triple here.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma is onion forward with bitter citrus, grass and some sweet grains backing. Flavor is similar with straw and sweet grains with some citrus rind and onion supporting.
