We've finally teamed up with our friends at Pizza Port Brewing Co., one of our favorite breweries in San Diego. When deciding what to make, we figured something excessively hoppy was the logical choice, and so this collaboration brew was born. This triple IPA is an intensely hoppy and bitter San Diego-style India pale ale. The light malt character and light body allow aggressive notes of pine, mango, and citrus fruits to overtake the palate, while a dry finish allows it to remain crisp and refreshing. Make the Logical Choice and enjoy this beer immediately, much like the brewers did leaving work to enjoy it in sunny San Diego. Cheers!

Can shared in London - cheers! Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose has pale crackers, pine needles, citrus rind. Medium sweet flavour with some hay, rindy bitterness, oily pine, more crackers. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with some booze, more pale crackers, ripening citrus. Boosty but fun.

Can split at L42, thanks to A Tipple, 23/08/17. Clear golden with a decent white head. Nose is toasted bread, light pine, straw, grapefruit, orange pith, pineapple. Taste comprises toasted bread, pine needle, light caramel malts, old skool bite, grapefruit. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with semi aggressive hop bitterness. Ok old skool DIPA.

Can. Light haze on this gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, slightly dry and has decent fine carbonation. Semi sweet malts with a light but distinct lager character. Sweet floralness. Smooth cooling pine. LIttle grapefruit citrus. Mild mango. Hop spice. Finishes with some mild citric peel bitterness. Very nice DIPA, I enjoyed it, but the fireworks are not there. US DIPAs don’t hold the great pull they once did thanks to the abundance of great DIPAs brewed in Europe now.

Golden amber color. Very heady nose, slightly astringent. Modest sweetness, very heady with pink grapefruit. Very full body. Very malty. Just big all over the place. Alcoholic and boozy. Too much booziness. A bit of a mess, imo.

Draft at Hellcat Annie’s. Mostly clear orange color with a thick, foamy head. Aroma of tropical, juicy hops and heavy pine / resin. Flavor doesn’t love you to the aroma. Too much boozy flavor comes through and the hops aren’t as clean as expected. Bitterness isn’t really right either. Feels like the booze is too high, making the beer less tasty when compared to the expectations you get from the wonderful aroma. 8/4/6/3/13

Can. Golden color. Aroma of peach, tropical fruit, mango, pineapple and peach. Taste has juicy tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, peach, orange and a subtle yet present malty backbone. Soft tropical hopburn in the finish. This is really nice.

On tap at Alesmith Brewing. Pours cloudy golden, medium white head. Strong hoppiness, some citrus, dank, pine, juicy. Almost no sweetness, lasting bitter finish. Medium bodied. Alcohol well hidden, easy drinkable for ABV.
