Mahogany body with a soft off-white head. Caramel malt, kiwi and citrus notes on the nose. The Roasted malts lead the taste profile, with honey, tea, citrus fruit and earth tones adding to the mix. Body is flat, like a cask. Smooth and slightly sticky. A definite winner.

Draught at R n H. Pours a clearish red brown. Smallish head. Earthy soily hoppy aromas. Some faint sweetness but the dirt is king. Hops are noticeable but not super bitter. I liked.

Backlog August 2011. Unclear, deep golden body under a dense off-white head. Nice aroma of fruity hops and fresh grass. Taste has mild malt, fruity and good bitterness. Medium body with a bitter aftertaste. Nice one.

Rather delicious IPA, creamy caramel backed up by subtle apple and lemon notes with an herbal -grapefruit hop soul and modest bitterness on the finish. Sooo easy to drink. Nice.

Bottle at the JimGreen tasting, Den Haag, December 2017. Thanks Jeroen. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is fresh hop, malt, slightly herbal, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a fresh crisp, dry light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle at Jim’s back tasting! Waxed bottle even. Clear golden with off white head. Resin, fresh hops, sweet caramel malts, tea, green tea, bread, lots of herbs, sweat, earthy notes. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied. Bit old school, it’s not bad but it’s really malty for the abv.
