On tap at Mekong on 09/27/2009. Fairly clear copper body with a medium frothy off-white head. Big citrus and floral hop aroma on a sweet caramel and pale malt background. Sweet floral and citrus hop flavor with a pale malt background. Medium full body with moderate carbonation.

Again, nice IPA, I wasnt sure of this one when i saw it, thought it was one of the other Harvest beers, but this one had a distinct character that was very indicitive of S.N. nice citrus and pine notes, and maybe a little apple, bitter finish but just enough malts to make it balanced, really nice, i personally think its better that the other Harvests.

Hazy copper pour, thick ring of lace - a very smooth and balanced wet hop ale - every element tastes extraordinarily fresh, and the barley has a wonderful sweetness that mixes well with the resiny, earthy hop character - the hops have that grassy, spicy, herbal, peppery character I have come to expect from the SH wet hop ales - it’s awfully tasty, but it isn’t any better than the other SN harvest ales, which makes it not worth the price - in fact, the Southern Hemisphere is actually better that this.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Copper colour, clear, small head. Floral strawberry aroma - like Polish Marynka hops. Above medium bodied. Pleasantly hoppy with orange and strawberry. A bitterness that keeps groing. Really tasty.

8 fl oz bottle from Utobeer at the rather steep asking price of 7 quid so it had better be good. Orange amber colour, completely clear with thin off white head. Vegetal hop aroma which is ok, but not beautifully hoppy as I had expected. Quite carbonated in mouth that leads to a certain thinness in the mouth.. Bit of fullness in the swallow, but the malts are a bit muted, some caramel and toffee, but not overly exciting or assertive. The finish is the best aspect of this beer. Good peppery fresh hop. I suppose I was expecting more of a hop bomb. The finish really is quite good. But the aroma and mouthfeel could be better. Given the price I could have bought a Stone Ruination IPA and an Oakham’s Bishop’s Farewell and I know which option I would have gone for. So overall a very pleasant hoppy beer, but it doesn’t really shine.

On Tap at the Grey Lodge Pub, Philadelphia in company of Loz, Casey and Traci, on my fortieth birthday 16-11-08. Pours Dark amber in colour, in fact looks really good, and a nice white head to top things off. Wonderful oily hops, thick and hoppy beer, grapefruit rampages through, very decent.
