The flavour of Timmermans Oude Kriek, refermented in the bottle, is without comparison. The cherries from which it derives its taste and colour it features traditionally come from Schaerbeek. Slightly acidic and with a wonderful bouquet, this natural and hence unpredictable brew requires careful handling throughout its long maturation period. Created from a blend of old and young lambic, Timmermans Oude Kriek keeps for 12 years. Like Timmermans Oude Gueuze, this is a precious drink, available in a limited edition only !

Taste-wise… The marriage of genuine lambic, to the cherry - originally the Schaerbeek cherry - always has surprising results, particularly as a spontaneously fermented young lambic is added to the old lambic in the proportion of one to three. This union, in which natural bitterness dominates, will delight genuine connoisseurs of spontaneous fermentation and will surprise newcomers to fruit beers in their most prestigious and noble form.

Best before 2030, from Amstein or the grain d'Orges. Opening this bottle, today, at night, after the visit of Fred. This one was for me too sour, average, dry cereal, a bit fruity, sour, mineral bitterness, a bit rough at the palate.
