large bottle, very lively when pouring, like champaigne, also the bottle did some delayed volcano gushing after sitting still, after the first and second pour. a bit messy. with foam down the side of the bottle and onto my table. nealry clear yellow, to begin with giant fluffy white head, but it dissapears fairly quickly. very herbal aroma, herbs are the sweet dusty ones you would find on a sun drenched mountain, also belgian yeast. flavor is slighlty fruity or citrussy, very dry, fainter belgian yeasts, flowery, quite delicate overall i would prefer a more rough belgian saison to this more delicate brew, it almost reminds me of pilsener with its dryness and controlled flavor. also, when having had a few servings i began to think it was too flowery and wheaty sweet, with not enough body to balance that.

Bottle from 2013. Plenty of cellar aging on this one. Lets see what happened. Pours slightly hazy orange with a large creamy off-white head, that slowly dissipates leaving pretty plentiful residual and nice lacing. Aroma is loaded with floral and honey notes, some grass as well. Flavor is light plus sweet, hint of lemony tartness, honey, floral flavors. Light body with high carbonation. Pretty sweet for my tastes, which I don’t think is a product of cellaring unless there is a reverse button on yeast.

Leighton’s flat clearance. Thanks to Leighton. Almost clear pale gold beer, big pale cream colour head. Fluffy malts. Woody fruits. Mild spice. Light dry finish. Fluffy woody watery nonsense.

Bottle thanks to LKS. It pours clear pale gold with thick, foamy white head. The aroma is sweet, white bread, straw, toasty grain, soapy citrus, fragrant and icing sugar. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter - sweet, white bread, lemony sherbet, very soapy, fairy liquid, straw and plenty of floral action, pear and melon with a dry, soapy finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation, a bit too sweet and carbonated. Fair.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours completely clear yelling w with a big,frothy white head. The nose holds lemon meringue, wheat, light dough. Light to medium sweet flavour with subtle papery notes, more wheat, dough, mild citrus bites, straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty clean on the finish, some crackers, more lemony notes, doughy wheat, mild yeast expression. Fine.

Tap at Hatos Bar. Belgian yeast-forward nose with some pear and apple notes alongside some herbal aromas. Active carbonation with a light body. Lemon zest and citrus on the palate. Slight peppery finish with more zesty notes. Tasty and refreshing but maybe a tad too sweet. --- Beer merged from original tick of Four on 15 Apr 2016 at 22:21 - Score: 7. Tap at Salon Piva. Pale yellow color with thick white head. Very nice aroma of citrus, floral hops, spices, yeast. Taste is behind aroma with yeast, malt, floral notes, funk.

0,1l from tap at Salon Piva. light yellow almost clear color, rather big white head. smells funky, acidic, lightly sour, citric, light horse blankett, some parfume, yeasty, flowery, light green apples. lovely smell. light body, soft carbonation, rather watery mouthfeel. tastes citric, parfume, flowery, some yeast, light funk. finishes acidic and lightly dry with notes of (belgian) yeast and citric / light funky notes. nice beer, lovely smell, taste is rather light and not as pronounced as the smell. still quite good beer.

Tap at Salon piva. Aroma is really promising with pineapple, exotic fruits, light to moderate funk. Very thin taste which doesnot live up to the aroma. Watery.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a semi-hazy to light transparent semi-burnt orange color to it. A one finger white foamy head dissipated within about thirty seconds leaving some messy lacing sticking and then sliding here and there.
The smell started off with some sweet grassy to citrus dryness. Light wheat strains in as it warms.
The taste was mainly sweet with a light bitterness sticking in there. Sticky sweet citrusy aftertaste leads into a semi-dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs smooth enough to allow sweet grassy/citrus combination sticking slightly on my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good saison that I would have again.
