Tap at Borefts ’15. Pours hazy pale yellow with a small off white head. Aroma of light fruits, malt and bready notes. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Above light bodied with soft carbonation. Pretty dull.

Keg at de molen borefts. Translucent pale yellow coloured pour with a lasting white head. Aroma is damp, hay, sweet grains, wheat, floral. Flavour is doughy grains, wheat, light floral notes. Palate is slightly flabby, moderate to high carbonation. Mellow saison yeast character. Not that crisp.

American saison, at Borefts. Very thick, dense, frothy, towering snow white head on top of a pale yellow beer with greenish hue, cloudy all over. Aroma of lemon zest, white pepper, dry hay, bready wheat, gooseberry, sourdough, field flowers - reasonably ’saison-esque’ indeed. Dryish fruity taste with pleasant sourish accents of lemon, kiwi and soapy starfruit, bit bready, doughy even, with a long, florally and grapefruity hop bitterness in the end, aromatic and drying, but pairing well with the yeasty fruitiness and the bready maltiness. Very quenching, and isn’t that the first intention of a 4.5% ABV saison?

Caña en el Lupulo el 30-07-2015 (r284) color amarillento turbio con poca espuma blanca y poco gas. Aromas y sabores poco ácidos con toques dulces maltosos algo cítricos y herbaceos. Cuerpo ligero fácil de beber con 4.5 vol. Refrescante. Normal.

On tap at upright brewery Portland. Pours out a straw color topped with a white head. Nose is banana clove sourdough bread spice citrus. Taste is more of the banana clove spice and a nice malty end. Very nice.
