Geradeaus und geradean – unser Helles ist kein Trunk für viele Worte, sondern ein ehrliches, direktes Bier. Doch lieber a weng philosophisch? Aber bittesehr: Obendrauf sahnig, untendrunter goldgelb, innendrin mild, feinwürzig und mit einer leichten Süße. Aber schon auch mit einer gewissen Hopfenblume. Und von einer Malzigkeit im Ausklang, die einem sofort Lust aufs nächste Seidla macht.

Bottle. Clear golden color with creamy white head. Aroma is sweetish malty, hay, and a bit of dusty cellar. Taste is pale malts, cereal, a bit citric, grassy, but with emphasis on the malt sweetness, grassy, flowery. Slightly bitter finish. Natural carbonation. A solid Helles. 7-4-6-3-13Holzfass at the brewery, December 2017. This was a butter bomb, but in all the good ways. Tasty and moreish, but not excellent (and only if you like the moreish butter). 7-4-7-4-14

Draft at Mahrs Bräu in Bamberg during the Bamberg Jolly. Pours clear yellow with a foamy, white head. Delicate, with nice pale cereal, slight bitter hay. Light bodied with average carbonation and massaging texture. Wonderfully well balanced in the finish, more relaxed biscuity malts, cereal, light bitter straw, grass. Excellent pils. Lovely.

Medium white head. Clear yellow body with very light carbonation. Strawy grainy aroma with minty dusty notes. Dry-sweet minty dusty strawy taste with grainy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish grassy sugary aftertaste with dusty fruity notes. Extremely drinkable. (0.4l draft at Taphouse, Copenhagen.)

Purchased at Johnny Off L. beer store in Rome-Italy and consumed in Kosovo. Apparently a very fresh batch. Pours clear golden color not that bright, medium white cap. Nose: barley grains, crackers, a bit soapy but nice. Mouth: carbonation is really soft, body is a bit too thin. Milled barley grains, balanced and very pleasant bitter end. Not that much of that farmhouse accent you expect in a Franconia lager although it is far better than most of the same style.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus, 4.9%.Clear golden with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, grainy, grass, straw and hop. Flavour is malt, fruit, hop, grainy, straw, little sweet, corn, little grass and a little bitter.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear golden color with medium soapy white head, nice lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of mild toasted malt, bread, cereals and herbs. Taste starts with solid malty backbone, moderate sweet with honey notes, following is grassy and bready, mouthfeel is dry, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Very decent, but not outstanding...

Pour is a clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is sweet pils like cracker malt. Flavor is an almost flavorless but clean dry malt. More of the cracker-like drying malt hit you after the swallow. Nothing remarkable but very thirst quenching and dry.
