Tap at Euston tap. Hazed orange amber pour with a long lasting white head. Sticky lace. Aroma is bright berry hops , cotton candy. Hint of citrus. Flavour is typical kernel clean cal ale ferment, clean malt bill with a tickling hint of spice from the rye. Hops prevail, blackberry, hedgerow hop. Solid clean bitterness. Lively palate. Medium body. All round a very tsdty and interesting beer.

Tap, at the brewery. Slightly hazy, reddy amber. Clotted cream coloured head. Aroma is a ginger laced, syrup sponge, but without the sickliness. Instead there’s a juicy, grapefruit undertone. Big, juicy, hoppy, tasty, and really well balanced. Lovely.

Bottle. Poured a murky reddish brown colour with a dignified beige head. Snout was hop laden and promised fine things with notes of citrus and spice. Juicy fruit aplenty present in the flavour alongside piney resinous hoppy goodness and some caramel malt. A slight earthy quality to it. Oodles of character and taste. Cracking stuff.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Greasy hops up front atop quite some caramel. Rich body, loads of caramel and toffee - the rye really adds some thickness. Some late lightly citrusy hops. 150413
