8th August 2008. On tap at GBBF. Strewth a German beer with Hibiscus! Hope the brewer didn’t get shot! Pink frothy head. Cloudy orange brown body. Fresh and fruity. Sweet dry finish. Fruit runs throughout - refreshing and very drinkable.

(bottle, 75cl) Cloudy, bright orange colour with a big and dense, slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly sweet and sourish fruity malty aroma with notes of apples, raspberries, a light flowery (hibiscus?) touch and shades of grassy hops. Moderately sweet and slightly acidic flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Yeasty and fruit-accented taste, again with flowery notes, accompanied by traces of wheat and hops; dry and sour-fruity, slightly malty and also astringent/tart finish. Not that bad, but also not the beer the world is seeking for. 20.XI.09

Pink coloured foam and hazy, pink-amber body (from hibiscus flowers, according to the program). Plain floral aroma and light, malt-hoppy taste with nots of herbs. Short tail. Soft in the mouth. Refreshing, but rather dull (German and Czech Bar, Bieres Sans Frontieres at GBBF, 06.08.2008).
