Bottle. Color: Black, thin light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, coffee. Taste: Roasted malt, nice coffee notes, vanilla, umami. Nice beer, but it feels like something is lacking. Nice coffee taste, but not as intense as you would like it to be. Medium body, below average carbonation.

Bottle, pours clear deep ruby black, small beige head, dissipates quickly, good lacing. Aroma is coffee, molasses, anise, cocoa. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium bitter, coffee and roasted malts. Medium body, somewhat thin perhaps.

At Maakun’s. Shared from bottle. Black with no head. Sweet dark roasted chocolate malts, coffee, molasses, vanilla. Big sweet and medium bitter. Full body, soft carbonation. 330 ml. bottle @ Billie’s Bier Kafetaria. Brewed 01.06.2015. Black with solid mocha head. Nose is big coffee with some umami notes, warming, faint molasses, bit too umami,… Taste is too big on umami for me, first thing that you get, umami syrup, lightly herbal, prunes, overly umami, faint bitter vegetable, coffee soakesd in umami syrup finish,… overly umami. I can see the appeal for others but this isn’t my thing. Expected mroe.
