12oz bottle pours with a clear deep gold body that supports a thin nearly bright white head of foam. The aroma offers up mango, warm pineapple, honeydew melon and then a bit of malty booze at the end of the draw. Another whiff reveals a cracker like maltiness in there too. The taste delivers mango pieces, booze soaked pineapple and a soft cantaloupe sensation in there amid the growing hop bitterness and persistent yet modest booziness. I’m not sure why this is coming across a bit boozy.

Tasted from the tap on the 02/07/2016. Slightly hazy golden colour with a small white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter aroma with lot of citrus. Taste is very hoppy and fruity. Next one please!

Draft. Hazy golden color, medium white head. Nice grapefruit aroma. Taste is lightly bitter lemon. Decent.

Another Coronado IPA, with lacing, pale yellowish white, moussy head, dissolving a bit in the middle but otherwise well retaining; deep and warm orange blonde robe, clear with low degree of fizz. Lush and dank aroma of pink grapefruit flesh, overripe papaja, sweet curry, gin, light caramel, toasted white bread, tropical orchids, spruce shoots, lychee, bitter honey, withering roses, fried egg, sundried tomato, exotic pepper, something faintly ureum-like. Crisp, clean onset, restrained tangerine and passion fruit sweetishness, hint of mango, sourish undercurrent, softish carbonation, smooth, slick and lightly oily mouthfeel, in fact lighter than expected from a 7.9% beer, based on only very slightly sweetish caramelly malts with an equally light toasted bitterish edge building a perfect bridge to the finish, providing a long, very aromatic hop character with gentle and playfully spicy yet effective bitterness in the back of the mouth as well as lush retronasal aromas of pine, grapefruit and papaja. Warming alcohol shows up in the very end, but avoids astringency and does not at all give the impression that this is in fact a very potent beer. Dangerously light and drinkable in relation to its strength, elegant, luscious and very aromatic: this is a top notch DIPA. Coronado’s extensive IPA range never disappoints.

Bottle shared. Hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, herbal notes and caramel malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
