On tap at Stadsbrouwhuis, Leiden - Deep black, beige head. Nose is coffee, chocolate, burnt toast, a bit of dark fruits in there too. Taste is slightly bitter, black coffee, liquorice, bit of smokiness at the end. Decent stout this.

Tap at Stadsbrouwerij Leiden Black with beige head. Sweet roasted malts. Coffee, some chocolate and roasted notes. Hint of that sour rotting oak wood aroma. Woody. Light sweet and moderate bitter. Tap at Stadsbrouwhuis. Black with small beige head. Licorice, roasted malts, ash, light dried berries, minerals, raw oats. Light sweet and medium bitter. Under medium bodied.
