Timmermans Tradition Faro is a beer made by adding candy sugar and water to lambic to mellow its acidity. In the 19th century, Faro was very popular in the Brussels area. Various folk traditions were associated with it, and this ambrosial drink flowed abundantly, thanks to its relatively neutral but extremely pleasant flavour. Today, Faro Timmermans is still brewed using the methods and recipes of days gone by, and meets with unanimous approval.

Taste-wise… A sweet beer with a base of lambic enhanced with water and candy sugar, to make it just light enough. The sugared notes predominate, imparting a general flavour which does not intensify on the palate but is wonderfully refreshing.

Bottle. Color: Dark orange golden, frothy white head. Aroma: Bit stale sweet and sour. Taste: Over medium sweet, white sugar, hints of honey, combined with moderate to light sour lemon-like notes. Medium body, under average carbonation. Very sweet, even for a Faro.

clear golden with a white head. aroma of malts, apples, lambic, sweet. Taste.... wow....this...is ..sweet... looks like they trew an entire package of 1Kg sugar in my glass, the acidity of the lambic is pushed way back, all i can taste is sugar and a little lambic. nah. not great. --- Beer merged from original tick of Tradition Faro Lambic on 18 May 2018 at 15:29 - Score: 4

29/VII/17 - 37.5cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ holidays - BB: 9/VI/17 (2017-1151)

Clear orange beer, creamy pretty solid yellowish head, stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty funky, lemony, bit dusty, wood notes, citrus touch, bit peppery. MF: soft carbon ,medium body. Taste: pretty sweet and sugary start, very acidic as well, lemon, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: sugary sweet, no caramel though, mainly some citric acidity next to the obvious sugar overload you get...
