(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. 5,3% abv) Colour is deep red, like a claret, with foamy head. Nose is slightly acidic and soapy with a nice cherry character. Taste is slightly acidic, with dark cherries and an nutty character from the stones. Full cherry taste. This is actually brilliant.

Draught Deep red body, no head. Nose of cherries, red wine, cask wood. Light sweet flavour. Flat carbonation. It doesn’t shock anyone, neither astonishes anyone.

Sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. (5.0%)
Clear deep red, small pink head. Balsamic cherry aroma. Acidic and dense, with notes of cobweb and vinegar. Less fruity than Drie Fonteinen and Girardin’s kriekemlambics, and I miss the extra dimension they have. But then unblended lambics change more from barrel to barrel than any other type of beer I know of...

(draught of course - is actually the kriek as used by New Belgium for blending 'Transatlantique') Dark ruby-red, nearly purple, hazy. Virtually no head. Intense (sour) cherries, fruit orchard, not very heavy on the horseblanket. Taste is nearly fruit juice, thick and concentrated-like, but fully naturally flavoured. Quite tart, summersun filled fruit. So thick it gets chewy. Yet the adidity from the fruit and the lambic make it quite refreshing. NBB couldn't have wished for a better blending base.
