Even the bravest vikings feared Nidhoggr: a malicious dragon that lives underground. There he gnaws at the roots of the world tree Yggdrasil, waiting for Ragnarok when he'll devour the earth. Imperial Brown Ale brewed with loads of English brown malt and floral American Willamette hops. Pours a thick brown color, roasty on the nose, salmiak and nutty flavors, creamy mouthfeel. Limited to 3000 bottles. Released: March 2017

(Draught at Cause Beer Loves Food, Amsterdam, 24 Feb 2018) Ruby red colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, red fruit, dark bread, black-currant and nuts. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, red fruit, raisins, roasted nuts and a finish with a mild spicy bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite interesting with lots of flavours, still in excellent balance. Very nice.

Bottle at home, from DeBierkonig, 29th March 18. Pours a chestnut brown and translucent. Aroma has a typical malty brown ale nose. Taste is sweet and roasty, roasted malts, some bitterness, slight smoke. Very enjoyable brown ale, one if the best I have had from NL.
