Mama's Little Yella Pils - Our upcoming new canned good is a small-batch version of the beer that made Pilsen, Czechoslovakia famous. Mama's is made with hearty amounts of pale malt, German specialty malts, and a blend of traditional (Saaz) and 21st century Bavarian hops. Our first canned lager, it's also fermented at cool temperatures with a German yeast.

This tasteful reality Czech is the perfect antidote for the watered-down versions of pilsner clogging Americaâ's shelves. And Mama's gentle hopping (about 33 IBUs) and low ABV (just 4.7%) mean we're finally honoring consumer requests for a delicious but less-challenging beer. (Hey, we like a good low-dose session beer, too.) Look for our Gold Metal Winner on US shelves in March.

Sadly, the Feds rejected our Take Two and Call Us in the Morning line on the can.

Lys brun klar med høyt hvitt skum. Maltig, søtlig lukt, korn og noe fudge. Middels fylde. Maltig søtlighet også i smak, men en behagelig lett kort bitterhet kommer mot slutter. God til å være pils.

Refrigerated aluminum can poured into cup at Brews Blies and BBQ. Clear yellow with medium white head. Aroma is light Pilsner malt, light body, medium/lower soft carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is light Pilsner malt.

Gusher. Large white head. Clear yellow body. Gentle fruity herbal aroma with mealy floral notes. So it actually smells like a pilsner, instead of a bottom-fermented IPA. Interesting. Dryish dusty floral taste with fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish floral herbal aftertaste with grassy dusty notes. Lingering mealy, bitterish floral finish. Nice, drinkable, could perhaps use a little more character and freshness. (0.355l can, at Olympen, Oslo.)

Golden color with white head. Aroma is earthy hops, a bit citrusy, herbal. Taste is biscuity, earthy, a bit too full-bodied and not too crisp, but this is for sure a straight good Pils!

12oz can from Beer52.com. A clear straw coloured pour with a thin white head; grassy aroma; quite lively in the mouth with a crisp grainy body, some citrus and some grassy hops; then a clean finish. A pleasant pils.

Enjoyed at Todd English in Vegas. Pours a light golden colour with a white cap and good lacing. Hoppy nose aromas. Also hoppy tasting with some grain in the finish. Balanced bitterness and dryness. A nice American pils.
