Mama's Little Yella Pils - Our upcoming new canned good is a small-batch version of the beer that made Pilsen, Czechoslovakia famous. Mama's is made with hearty amounts of pale malt, German specialty malts, and a blend of traditional (Saaz) and 21st century Bavarian hops. Our first canned lager, it's also fermented at cool temperatures with a German yeast.
This tasteful reality Czech is the perfect antidote for the watered-down versions of pilsner clogging Americaâ's shelves. And Mama's gentle hopping (about 33 IBUs) and low ABV (just 4.7%) mean we're finally honoring consumer requests for a delicious but less-challenging beer. (Hey, we like a good low-dose session beer, too.) Look for our Gold Metal Winner on US shelves in March.
Sadly, the Feds rejected our Take Two and Call Us in the Morning line on the can.

Can. A pale golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of hops and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and hay - not very exciting, leading to a dry and bitter finsih.

Nice beer! Nice golden yellow color, foamy white head. Aroma has straight up grassy spicy stinky saaz, malt notes were bready and soda cracker. Well rounded flavors, sweet grains and spicy hops, balanced finish. Less bitter than alot of pilsners but an excellent hot weather drinker.

Growler - pours a clear light gold, with a soapy, short-lived head - nose of lemon, honey, grass, herbal/floral hops - this is light and drinkable, which a good pils should be, but it lacks the balance and complexity of the great examples of the style - this is mostly honey-sweet, with light hints of grain, and a bit of grassy hops, but not enough to balance the sweetness, nor to add the crisp bite you’d want from the style - in fact, the finish is lingering honey sweetness and buttery/diacetyl flavors - kind of a train wreck of a pils - stick to the big beers, boys.

Bottle. Golden beer with a nice white head. Mineral and malt aroma with light spice. Malt and mineral flavor with breadiness and grass. Medium-light bodied. Grass, bread, and mineral tones linger.

12 oz can from Odeed! Nose is grainy with some light citrusy and floral hops. Urine yellow with a medium white head. Flavor is a bit of bitterness with a lemon note. Wish it was hoppier but the bitterness does increase as it finishes.

12 oz can. Clear Yellow pilsener color. Aroma generic pilsener with grains, lemon. Flavor is light, with some creamy bready flavors. Touch of hops. Not a bad Oskar Blues beer, but certainly not the best.

12 oz can shared by csbosox. Pour is clear yellow golden, with nice settling and a smallish white head that fell quick. OK lacing. Aroma of earthy grain (not quite corn, but something like that), fresh floral bitterness and toasty bready malt. Taste is earthy, full grain maltiness, bright floral hop bitterness. Palate is medium, heavier than most pils I have had. Nice mineral element in the back. Nice one. Thanks Chris!

Woooo, beer in a can, right up my alley. Smells a little better than cheap pale american ubiquitous lager but it does look the same. First taste is pilsner sharp bite, short but prodding. Slightly below average carbonation. Bitter hop bite lingers and builds in the back of the throat. Mind you, not an ale bite, a lager pilsner bite. Alky becomes more apparent as the session continues. Overall, neeeds a few more manners for a lager lover. Sawz away!

Pours a nice gold color. Large poofy white head. Yeasty, bready aroma. Mildly hopped. Very minimal sweetness. Slightly bitter. Crisp and smooth and overall rather good even if it is not too extraordinary.
