Mama's Little Yella Pils - Our upcoming new canned good is a small-batch version of the beer that made Pilsen, Czechoslovakia famous. Mama's is made with hearty amounts of pale malt, German specialty malts, and a blend of traditional (Saaz) and 21st century Bavarian hops. Our first canned lager, it's also fermented at cool temperatures with a German yeast.

This tasteful reality Czech is the perfect antidote for the watered-down versions of pilsner clogging Americaâ's shelves. And Mama's gentle hopping (about 33 IBUs) and low ABV (just 4.7%) mean we're finally honoring consumer requests for a delicious but less-challenging beer. (Hey, we like a good low-dose session beer, too.) Look for our Gold Metal Winner on US shelves in March.

Sadly, the Feds rejected our Take Two and Call Us in the Morning line on the can.

Can from Tesco, shared with a very special friend. Light yellow with obvious visible carbonation and a small scum of white head. Rotten vegetable notes in the aroma are buoyed up by vanilla, floral and honey scents. Tastes sweet at first but then turns a bit nasty with herbal and medicinal notes. Skunky finish. Not a fan; I like some pilsners but not this one.

Can from Tesco. Clear and brilliant gold, with a fluffy, white, head. Lemony aroma with a touch of spicy hop. Easy drinking, with crisp malts more sharp fruits, and a pleasantly bitter finish. A good lager.

On tap at Brother’s Beer. Pours pale. Lemon, peach, sharp vinegar. Pretty boring and not very crisp.

Tap. Pours clear golden. Aroma is pale malts with a hint of grassy aromatic hops. Body is light, with a lovely carbonation, still quite sweet, little bitterness. Can’t be called refreshing, but no sweet palate either. OK.

A rather large can to myself on 30th Jan 2017. Bought and drank in Orange County, California. What the hell is 1 Pint and 3.2 FL OZ? Anyway the beer is a clear, clean and bright golden colour, the head a snow white affair that does not want to hang around.Mild hoppy floral nose, some grains in the flavour, fairly sweet overall and I found it refreshing in the afternoon sun. Nothing too get over excited about, but decent enough.

From a can at Biga. Clear yellow beer with thin white head. Adequate pilsener, quite good with pizza. Nothing stood out as really great or unpleasant.
