Bottle shared from/at Maakun’s. Thanks! Clear brown/amber eith greyish offwhite head. Sweet malts, caramels, massive berch wood, grapes, grapestones, white wine, touch of sour in the grapes and wood, otherwise moderate sweet and quite bitter. Full body and soft carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of Quad '17 BA on 05 Feb 2018 at 10:09 - Score: 7

Bottle. Dark amber color. Aroma of malt, dusty sweet apples, ripe fruit, caramel and subtle oak. Taste has sweet caramelised malt, booze, syrup, oak, ripe fruit, white grape and indeed lots of appelmoes. Did they use goudreinetten for this beer? Finish has some more boozy white grape, which saves the beer a little. Another failed new quad from De Molen, come on guys.

Keg at MK BG, 19/10/17. Murky Reddish amber topped with a decent beige swirl. Nose is sweet malts, caramel, dates, mellow barrel, dried fruits. Taste comprises sweet licks, stewed fruits, toffee, fruit cake, prunes, nutty, light barrel. Full bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with a rising alcohol lick. Not bad.

Bottle @ tasting shared by Joes. Clear light amber color, average sized off-white head. Aroma is lightly malts, sweet, sweet wine, candy. Taste lightly malts, wine, sweet, candy. Thinner body than you'd expect from a quadrupel but then again, after barrel aging it for a long time in a sweet white wine it's not a surprise it's a bit thin. Oh well. Drinkable but not a great quad.

Bottle @ home. Hazy broen with a medium sized offwhite head. Smells kermissnoep, wijnbal, very sweet. Tastes kermissnoep, fake, weird, apple. Very candy-like taste. Makes it kinda fake. Don’t really like it. Full body, soft carbo.

Als je durft om vloeibare appelmoes voor een premium prijs te verkopen, ben je niks meer waard dan de fokking Noord-Hollandse. --- Beer merged from original tick of Quad '17 BA on 05 Nov 2017 at 21:53 - Score: 3. Original review text: Sauternes, karamel en een enorme bak appelmoes. Sorry, maar dit is weer een van de vele fails de laatste jaren
