33 cl bottle @ home. BBE 03/2019
Aroma has sweet bourbon tones and some licorice. Flavour has bourbon, vanilla, some licorice and mild saltyness. Stinging whiskey and woody notes in the dry finish. Quite typical bourbon-IS.

330ml bottle from Alko. BBE 03/19. Pours pitch black with a small sticky and bubbly brown head. Aroma of wood, bourbon, oak, vanilla, toffee, syrup, hints of rye, roasty malts, coffee, chocolate and cocoa. Taste is sweet, syrupy and woody with loads of bourbon, some roastiness, rye, syrup, vanilla, toffee, caramel and cocoa. Finish has massive amounts of bourbon, wood, oak, vanilla, some warming alcohol, roasty malts, sweetness and syrup. A total bourbon overdose, but a tasty one nevertheless.

Bottle from Alko. Bbe 3/2019. Poured pretty much black in color with a thin brown head. Bourbon dominates the aroma, vanilla, some wood. Pretty smooth, some boozy notes, but I prefer that over the sweetness anytime. Vanilla, bourbon, roasted malt, coffee, ashy notes. Full bodied. Nice barrel notes, almost too dominating perhaps. Nice sipper.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 3/2019, from Alko, 20170225) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, vanilla and wood. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, vanilla, wood booze, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste had vanilla, wood and bitterness. A rather nice heavy brew with strong wood notes but booze pushed through too much.

A black beer, a head is small and brown. Aroma has salt liquirice, barrel and bourbon, some vanilla, quite strong sweetness and some dried frutiness. Taste has liquirice, vanilla, quite strong and dry barrel, low rostiness, some chocolate, balanced sweetness, no alcohol. Full bodied, low carbonation, only hint of stickyness. The barrel is strong but still just balanced. The great and strong barrel beer.
