Hidden in the beautiful dark amber color are aromas of vanilla and caramel that compliment perfectly the presence of bourbon. Soft oak flavors transition into a sweet yet slightly dry finish. After aging the ale for four months, the malt and hop complexity of Brrr has melded harmoniously with the bourbon barrels and become a truly one of a kind beer.

2013 Vintage. Sampled thanks to Kraddel @ Rampkrot. Deep amber, little head. Nose is oxidized bourbon mixed with very cheap candy, heavy sugar & strong soda-like quality with some caramel. Taste is a bit akin to a fizzy soda / softdrink mixed with bourbon, oxidation, basic sweet sugar, caramel, cheap candy, a bit watery, fizzy, touch honey, toffee. Thinned out, tad watery, fizzy. Weird, possible ravages of time. Very odd, not sure if I like it or hate it. Deeply flawed. A puzzling mistake of sorts, probably better fresh.

2013 version, thnx to an awesome trader (if only I could remember names) . Pours redcopper, clear, small layer of white foam. Smell is sweet, grains, like a BW. Bourbon. Taste is Bit bitter, sharp grains. Bit sweet, hints of bourbon. Pretty weak base. Bourbon lives next to the base, but doesn’t blend in too well.

Sample from bottle, CBF 2015. Dark amber colour with a thin, off-white head. Sweet aroma with bourbon barrel, vanilla, rich caramel malts, licorice and citrus fruits. Taste is sweet. Full body with a slick texture, Finishes slightly dry and fruity with bourbon barrel, a warmth from alcohol and rich malts. Had expected more. Still nice, trough.

Bottle shared by Joes & Judyvv @ "Zunt Om Nog Langer Te Bewaren" tasting (ZONLTB). Hazy reddish amber color, average sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, lightly bourbon, some sweetness. Taste malts, sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly bourbon. Decent body and carbonation.

Bottle @ SONLTB tasting. Hazy amber colour with a small white head. Smells sweet, barley wine, almond, hint of bourbon. Tastes sweet, hops, almond, some bourbon, slightly vanilla. Medium to full body, soft carbo.
