Bottle from Tesco Enniskillen [170115]
Dark amber, clear, big off white head, overcarbonated, some lacing
Aroma of soft toasted malts, some cereal, soft caramel malts, soft spicy hops, light nose
Taste of light toffee malts, caramel malts, hint of butterscotch, soft cereal malts, fairly bitter hops, bit spicy, getting some spicy biscuit
Palate - Medium carb (needs a swish to get rid of excess carb), medium light body. Finish of bitter hops and toasted malts, bit spicy bitter linger
Overall - Competent best bitter, donโ€™t understand the fuss, but itโ€™s quite nice. I imagine this would be better on cask. Better than the Landlord bottle I had today as well.

Bottle.Nose is butterscotch, with pronounced herbs and cut cut grass, slight nuttiness in the back end. Surprisingly appealing. Taste is butter scotch, a touch of burnt toffee, leading to berry, and an earthy malt and bitterness, with the faintest citrus rind in the finish. It seems only passingly related to the nose. Slight metallic off-note Mouthfeel is far too carbonated. This beer is classic supermarket mush, and itโ€™s marked down for smelling nothing like it tastes.

50cl bottle from Tescoโ€™s, Camberley. Golden amber with a billowing white head; slightly musty floral aroma; fresh tasing with a immediate floral bitterness, then a soft honeyed sweetness; before a herbal bitter finish. A nicely rounded bitter.

A copperbrown beer with a medium and blond head. The nose has caramel and nutty maltyness, wood and some lemon. Taste is quite dry and quite strongly hopped, bread, nuts, wood and some fruity nuancees. The end is dry, bitter and long. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, drinkable. Strongly hopped bitter, but the aromatics hops are almost hidden. Anyway, the strong bitterness is always great.
