Master brewer Gerard van den Broek made his ideal wheat beer: Hertog Jan Weizener. This willful wheat beer combines the best of a German weizen and Belgian witbier. The hop, malted wheat, fresh yeast, coriander and orange peel give it a full, fresh flavor and a deep gold color with a slight haze. The secondary fermentation on the bottle creates a fresher and richer taste and aroma.

Donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is fris zuur, lijkt inderdaad meer op witbier dan Weizenbier. Verder best goed en zacht van smaak.

Bier Temple, Amsterdam. Keg. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and airy. Slightly perfumey floralness. Very mellow spice. Whisper of citrus. Light dry finish. Actually not that bad. Thanks to the Bier Temple crew for the sample.
