Appearance - Dark amber and clear with a foamy white head that dissipates into a thin white rim.

Aroma - Sweet, fresh apples with notes of cinnamon, clove, cardamom, ginger and raisin.

Sample at the Aficionado’s beer tasting on 12/08/2016. This Cider is a murky copper color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to a sparse outer ring. Applies and spices in the nose. Light to medium body with flavors of mildly tart apple, cinnamon and chai spice. The finish is fruity with a spiced apple aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draught at Barcade, 4/16/16.
Mostly clear, amber-mahogany with a lighter tan tint and a small, off-white head that rapidly fizzles away.
Light brown sugar, sweet cardamom, strong vanilla and apple with a clove-meets-white pepper finish and no alcohol or flaw. Not really artificial or anything and not flawed, but a bit heavy-handed with the spice and sweetness.
In the mouth, there’s a dry spiciness to it that somewhat clashes with the sugary, red apple character and lots brown sugar and apple sauce. Not really syrupy or artificial but far from terribly endearing or overly drinkable.

Bottle. A still dark amber to copper colored drink. Spiced nose with apples in the back. Sort of like a mulled wine, except there’s apples in the back. Semi-sweet on the palate, medium bodied and soft, with flavors of spices and a touch of apples in the back. Apple pie, pumpkin pie, raisins and some nuts. Long finish. Suspect I’d prefer this one mulled, but it’s nice anyway. 151124
