Sampled from bottle @ late RBBSG 2018. Opaque dark brown to black color, average sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is a a bit weird and hard to describe. Herbal / spices maybe? Flavor is malts, dark malts, roast, again some herbs or spices. Meh.

Can at the 7/27 DC RateBeer tasting. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of cumin, spice, mint, herb. Tastes of spice, dark chocolate, mint, cocoa. Medium body with a dry finish.

Can at the July DC RB mini-tasting. Poured a nearly pitch black color with a small tan head. Aroma was Thai spices, roasted malts. Dark chocolate, roast. It's okay, something doesn't quite pull it all together for me. Alcohol is really well masked here.

16oz can shared by nimbleprop. The Thai spices are surprising nice and not overpowering. The stout is smooth, low acidity. Low bitter and ash. Nice beer.

I went into this thinking this would be a train wreck but it's actually pretty decent. Surprisingly subtle. Roast and light lemongrass, ginger. Comes together pretty well. Sweet and bitter finish. Can.

16oz can pours a murky black with some ringing khaki head. Nose is interesting, toast, molasses, licorice, lots of spice too, ginger, lemongrass, some raisin, coconut. Flavor has coconut, lemongrass, molasses, ginger, caramel, toast. Finishes dry, peppery. Pretty damn good too.

Can at home, shared with Dad in the garden, 21st July 18. Pours a nice looking black beer. Aroma is cocoa, lemon grass. Taste is strange, kaffir lime, cocoa, lemon grass, not full on. Strange spiced affair and over on the ABV, which adds nothing
