The bottle typical Oettinger, looks like a cheap beer. Flavor much too metallically and dry. Not a good alt.

Aroma is a little musty, not fresh. Initially the taste is bittersweet like black treacle then a tad metallic. Eventually it becomes a bit nutty and somewhat drying.

An amber beer with a thick light orange head. The aroma has a wierd hoppy note, I don’t really like it, dusty and sulphurish. The flavor is sweet malty with a light caramel note, and a thin body. The end has a slight metallic and acidic note. I’m not that fond of it.

Test vom 19.6.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 14,2,0,0,5,0 - 1,95

Bottle: Amber coloured, as usual, lacing fluffy off-white head; faint malty and fruity, but also cardboardy nose; quite dry, light malty flavour with an illusion of bitterness, light bodied to watery; malty-fruity finish with a distinctive bitterness, becoming stronger in the very end. Drinkable, but really no pleasure...............

(bottle) Clear and dark red-brown colour with a fluffy off-white medium head. Aroma of toasted malts and caramel. Sweetbitter flavour, medium body. Slightly sweetish malty taste with caramel and a light note of fruitiness; dry and bitter finish with a touch of liquorice. Acceptable cheap Altbier.

Bottle. Bready, slightly metallic aroma. Dark brown colour, hint of red. Nice, stable, rocky head. Flavour starts off roasted and finishes clean and bitter.
