I have a 33 cl bottle from Finest Belgian. The label has changed, it’s gone minimalist. Looks good. Time to see what the beer inside tastes like. The cap is pulled and I pour into my favorite tulip glass brought back from Bruges. A brownish amber body topped by a smooth, silver-tan skim of foam. I take a sniff of the proceeds, quite nice. Ripe dark fruit, yeast, grain and hard candy. And I take drink, well, it is traditional and classic, I approve. Dates, malt, leather, a bit of toffee, toasted bread and raisins. An appreciated density, somewhat chewy. A good tasting in one of my favorite styles.
