Aroma of roasted malt, liquorice, coffee, leather, hint of chocolate. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a moderate roasty bitter finish. Could be a bit fuller and less sweet. Otherwise enjoyable Imperial Stout.

33 cl bottle @ home, bb 12 - 15. Pitch black color. Beige to brown head with just a thin layer retention. Aroma’s of roasted malts, coffee, a bit red fruit, dark chocolate. Retronasal there’s roasted malts, dark chocolate, light red fruit. Flavor is under moderate sweet, roasted, light bitter. Above medium bodied. Long finish with lots of roast, moderate bitter. Shame this is retired, this is pretty much how an impy should be.

Bottled. Deep brown colour, close to black, with a dark brown creamy mediumsized head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is liquorice, some mild roast as well as some coffee and nutty notes. Flavour is liquorice, roasted malts, some nutty notes, coffee and slight alcohol sweetness to it. A bit tar like notes in the finish (kind of Tervaleijona like tar).

Bottle from Saveur Biere and split at the EU themed 2nd Ipswich bottle share. Pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma is lovely with coffee, vanilla, milk chocolate and a touch of liquorice. Medium/full bodied, thick texture, soft carbonation, quite fresh. Much enjoyed, earning Spain third place on the night.

Bottle from a trade. Many thanks! Dark brown/black beer, brown foam. Medium carbonation. Sweet nose of caramal with lots of roasted malts and coffee. Rather bitter than sweet. Well balanced stout.

Bottle from ABCbeers, at home. Dark brown almost black. Very much roasted flavors, chocolate, coffee, bitter finish that suits well with the chocolatey/coffee flavor. Very nice stuff. Backlog from 2015/03/01.

Black color with a tan head, short duration. Aroma has roasty malts notes, black cocoa and strong coffee beans. Flavor is a mild bitterness, roasted malts and some ashes or smoky hints presence. Smoke and moderate creamy on palate.
