Can at Craft Intersect, Bangkok. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, chocolate, red berry fruits, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, with a smooth, rich roasty, oaky, vinous, red berry fruit, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at Second Draft, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out moderate intensity bourbon barrels upfront, with a hint of vanilla and even subtler chocolate. Flavour is quite dry for a bourbon BA beer, with dry, earthy bourbon, followed by gentle roast and some cocoa. Really like the oak character here. Nicely done.

Can, 2019 version. Very dark brown, a tan head is very soon at the rim. Aroma of mocha, nice hard toffee, vanilla and peppery oak. OK, so this one is whiskey barrel aged, obv. Well short of syrupy, carbonation is pretty low. Sweet an dominated by toffee and whiskey but there's enough mocha, roast and spiced bitterness to wrest things almost back to the beer side of things. Very Goose Island BCS aroma but lacks bottom end.
