A Märzen-style Fest Bier brewed with the finest German malted barley, aromatic Bavarian noble hops and traditional lager yeast. This rich malty lager is one of the few that remain true to the tradition of fest beers originally brewed to honor the marriage of Prince Ludwig in 1810. We hope you enjoy this fall offering. Prosit.

On tap at First Draft - Chicago, pours a cloudy dark orange amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out bready malt, toasted notes and a touch of sweet malt. Flavour is semi-sweet, with bready malt and sweet caramel. Too sweet — this shouldn't have this amount of residual sweetness. Meh.

Bottle drunk 8/31/23. Bright copper-bronze, clear, small, beige head, low-to-moderate retention. Malty, with light toast, hint of sourdough, hint of honey. Crisp lager yeast on the finish, clean. Soft though with pleasing grain and light sourdough. Bit of lingering toast and honey with crisp lager yeast and well-attenuated malts. Clean, low hops. Nice, more traditional O-fest though not quite as toasty and malty as those. Kind of like a slight compromise with the newfound popularity of the festbier.

Comes across more like toasted sweet oatmeal bread with hints of clove and banana. Very German, lacking the nutty caramel notes of most American märzens. Mild floral bitterness on the finish. Tasty.

Pours bright clear orange-tinged copper into a stein. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Multigrain sourdough and citrus aromas. Crisp with toasted sourdough, hot caramel, straw and raisin upfront turning to dry earthy prune in the medium length finish.

12 ounce bottle. Copper orange color. Frothy beige head dissipates to a small cap. Toasted malt nose has a hint of nuttiness. Sweet caramel malt flavor. Spicy undertones. Lightly carbonated. Some herbal hops in finish. Tasty.

Amber pour. Thin foam. Malt flavor with a nut palate. Definitely an Autumn beer. Getting me in the mood for Fall! Easy carbonation. Light bodied.
