A Rich Dark Porter brewed with 10 different malts giving a sweet roast richness that is balanced with just enough hop character. This ale has a surprising drinkability for it’s colour and abv. Don’t let the sumptuous roast malt fool you, this porter is seriously potent & has the potential to take you to another place..

Bottle from Utobeer at Leighton’s Beer, Bocce and Boozer tasting. It pours very dark brown/nr black, with a decent beige head. The nose is roasted malt, caramel, toffee and chocolate. The taste is roasted malt, coffee, charcoal, dark fruit, chocolate and a hint of smoke, with a dry-roast finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Another solid brew from SW.

Bottle @ The Brauhaus, Edinburgh 260312
Black, ruby edges, frothy tan head that dissipates to thin layer, some lacing
Aroma of dark caramel malts, soft roasted malts, light chocolate, hint of dark toffee, quite light aroma
Taste as main flavour with soft hint of coffee, well blended, smooth, great flavour
Palate - medium carb. medium body, soft malt palate, fairly rich mouthfeel. Finish as main flavour, leaves very soft roast malt and chocolate linger.
Overall - A really nice porter with a good balanced flavour and good rich mouthfeel for 5% abv

Cask at the Euston Tap. Dark, clearish brown with a moderate head. Dry, ashy roasty malts on the nose. Just the faintest hints of sugar in the flavor, then lots of dry, ashy, burnt wood bitters. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry roast finish, lingers long time. Not bad.
