12oz @ Ryan's (thx for the beer!).
Aroma: roasted malt, caramel, some sweetness.
Taste: taste is along the same lines, full-bodied. Finishes with quite high hoppy bitterness.
Overall: ok, too much bitterness for me that is not balanced by other flavors.

Poured from 355mL can (pkg 10/10/2024). Chestnut brown with small beige head. Toasted English malt with some mild caramel and a hopped finish. Comes together nicely.

Very dark brown pour, loads of chocolate and some great peaty smokiness also. Flavor is full bodied and very smokey. More cocoa Nd some cofffee come through in the finish. Leaves a nice sweet mollasses aftertaste.

Can from Beergium. Aroma is dark malt, surprisingly potent coffee, caramel, cocoa, dark bread, nut, some toffee, chocolate, with a slight hoppy touch. Flavour is medium sweet and bitter. Body is above medium. Rich with plenty of coffee and cocoa, tasty stuff.

Bottle 0,35ltr: Typical very hoppy American, sweet candy-like ale with great bitter finish.

12 oz can. Pours a murky brown color with a huge khaki colored head. The aroma is medium in strength with caramel, chocolates and something like wet dirt. The taste is similarly earthy with something I cant readily describe, caramel, coffee and bitter walnuts. The palate is medium in viscosity and the carbonation is soft. Finishes long and semi-dry. Overall; Decent paired well with some sheeps milk gouda.

Missing review I came across from 31.12.2015 off white thick creamy head stayed all the way on a near black still body. Prune, coffee brown sugar aroma with a hint of rum. Beautifully smooth on the palate, soft dark fruits, brown sugar, strong coffee tastes - so much on taste buds. What a fantastic beer & totally recommend.

Can/Fest. A- Malty, caramel. A- Copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Malty, caramel, mild spice. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Malty and honestly a lot of complex flavors on the palate but I can't quite place them. Not sure how it took me so long to have this beer.
