Can. A bit hazy, dirty coppery, medium sized beige head, medium lasting. Nice woody nose with lots of malty presence, biscuits, caramel, earthy notes. Medium bitterness, some milder sweetness upfront and quite roasted in the end. Lasting aftertaste, woody and herbal. Medium body. Some alcohol sipping through, but very mild.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Lovely choco aroma. Lovely mahogany colour. A warmly winter ale that keeps the percentage quite cleanly. Choco, nice bitterness.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 17B). Can 35.5 cl - Batch unknown (BBF unknown - Canned on DEC.30.2019). AROMA: medium malty aroma with notes of toffee, slight molasses. medium-low estery background with dried-fruits character (dried grapes and/or plums). slight vinous presence. APPEARANCE: dark amber color with fine material in suspension. medium light-brown head with medium retention. TASTE: initial medium malt flavor with Maillard notes, toffee, faint roastiness. faint dried-fruits. medium bitterness with an almost dry finish with a touch of roasted malt. PALATE: medium body with a slight velvety texture. medium carbonation. OVERALL: a nice Old Ale.

35,5 cl. can @ home, bought @ Una Mas, Nieuwegein. Hazy brown with an off-white head. Malty caramel aroma with some sweet coffee and hops. Sweet taste with a sweet finish. Great multi-layered ale; smooth and gentle and releasing new flavors with every sip. Great!

Schönes dunkles braunes Bier im Glas, in der Nase sehr malzig, erdig, Fass, typisches Old Ale halt, hier schonmal astrein. Im Trunk ebenso deutlicher Malzkörper, Alkohol erst mittig etwas auszumachen, leider kommt da nicht viel nach. Leicht Cognac, nussig.

Väga magus ja karamelline, linnased, alks ja nooblid humalad ka. Täitsa hea, ma ise paigutaks selle pigem scotch ale-i laadseks tooteks rohkem, aga see selline poteito-potato teema ole. 3.6

Growler. Pours clear dark brown with no head. Aromas of nutty flavours, caramel, malts, chocolate. Taste is alike with some honey-like sweet notes.
