A truly unique India Pale Ale, this iteration of our Jai Alai IPA boasts the addition of white oak spirals to impart sleek notes of vanilla, coconut and a touch of dill to Jai Alai’s bold citrus and caramel character. The oak also serves to temper the bitterness in the 70 IBU base beer while oak tannins elegantly dry the beer’s body to create a unique drinking experience that still remains true to Jai Alai’s unique qualities.

35 cl can @ Lihaviha, thanks olio! Aroma has odd white wine tones and toffee. Flavour has menthol, alcohol, white wine and gluey notes. Not my thing.

Can from Winerack at home. Dark peach-amber pour with fluffy white head. Aroma is dank melon honey vanilla. Definitely can smell the wood, but with an effervescent fuzzy melon hop. Very nice. Taste has an earthy boozy bitter bite, tempered by a mellow sweetness. While you can taste the wood and the effect works, it does also have the overall effect of a slightly older brassy piney malty IPA like a strong Sierra Nevada pale ale or Torpedo. Palate is smooth. Mellow booze. Very tasty.

I don't taste any wood. Gold body with thin white head. Aroma is a little oak, and lots of citrus and flowers. Full bodied taste hop forward, citrus and tang. Long hoppy finish. How many IBU does this have.

Tap. Pours light hazy orange with a small white head. Notes of grassy hops, pine, citrussy, light oaky.

Keg at Craft Covent Garden. Aroma is great, oaky, cheesy, gooseberry, fruity, berries. Taste is great too. Had the citrus IPA thing happening, but the finish is almost saison like. Lots of wood, herbal, berries and yoghurt. Great stuff

Bottle from EricAndersNavy, thanks! Orange amber color. Melon, grapefruit, vanilla and oak in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor with melon, pineapple, lychee, oak, some earthy oily hops, but the hops are not too prominent. Well balanced. Excellent IPA.
