F’ Ya! I.P.A. is our House West Coast I.P.A. and features four American hop varieties that blend together to form an intensely aromatic and flavorful ale. Four kettle additions and one massive dose of dry hops make this beer citrusy and resinous throughout. Although this beer is “all about the hops,” most people find it surprisingly balanced.

Malts: 2-Row, Golden Promise, Munich, Extra Dark Crystal

Hops: Cascade, Chinook, Centennial, CTZ

*Dry-Hopped

Yeast: California Ale

Tap @ Vine Street. Transparent light yellow orange appearance with a foamy, off-white head. Huge ganja, resiny, piney aroma. Was this made with the medical shit??? Somewhat grapefruit citrusy but mostly an intense, resiny ganja hoppy flavor. Great one!

On tap. Pours with a hazed copper hued body with an off-white head. Aromas are dank, weed, orange, mint and very spicy hops. Flavors are very spicy, dank, fruity, mint tea. Medium bubbles, medium dry. Odd hop profile, and gets a bit too sweet for me as it warms.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a clear reddish-amber color with a medium thin foamy light beige head that evaporates steadily. Sticky top ring of lacing, with some spots beneath. Hoppy aroma that has citrus and floral notes. Medium body with a moderately bitter floral hops flavor, along with some malt, citrus and pine. The finish is hoppy with a citrusy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Tap at Vine Street - dark amber pour - as has been noted, very resinous in the aroma, with hints of sweetened grapefruit - fairly sweet flavor, but there is plenty of earthy hops to lend balancing bitterness, pine, and citrus pith flavors - a bit of orange sweetness in the finish that the bitterness doesn’t quite stick around long enough to balance completely, but otherwise this is a fairly tasty IPA.

tap at Mountain Sun - Pours hazy copper with a good citrus hops aroma. The flavor is aggressively hopped, more so than the Swang Song and Illusion Dweller I had the same night, with notes of pine and citrus. It’s medium bodied and has a long bitter finish.

Tap @ brewpub. Slight hazy orange color, short head. In your face come the hops, pine and grapefruit. Very bitter taste, but still starting sofe, almost creamy, and then finishing bitter, almost astringent. Great stuff.

Draft at the brewpub. A hazy amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops, grass, and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with strong ntoes of grass, leading to a dry and very bitter finish.

Fuck Yeah IPA is a recent offering at Mountain Sun and is apparently selling quite well. It’s not hard to see why. The aroma is a strange but intoxicating mix of floral hops and milk chocolate, with light citrus notes. The colour is a fairly dark amber. The bitterness is moderate, evenhanded but packs a fairly refreshing cohumulone punch. The malts are as I like them, mainly pale and in the background, as a canvas for the bright tropical fruit hop painting. One to drink multiple pints of.
