Like Hops? You’ll like this fire-hued beer. This is the beer I have always dreamed of making. This is the beer that would come to mind while spending the last two years tearing down walls, hanging sheetrock, moving kegs, power washing the ceilings, arguing with various agencies, and cutting the water main. Without Golden Promise malt, made by family-owned Simpsons Malt, Furious would just be pissed offed. From Scotland, this malt is still produced in the tradition of turning over the barley by hand, resulting in a malt that is unsurpassed in its quality. Golden Promise is also used extensively by premium whisky distilleries such as The Macallan. This malt provides the backbone for the intense hop character. Four American hop varieties are used at a rate of over three pounds per barrel. The result is a rich malt sweetness infused with bright hop flavor and aroma from beginning to end. Oh yeah, it’s about 6% alcohol and around 100 IBUs.

50cl can shared with friends. Thin white head. Lovely citrus aroma. Clear amber pour. Lovely bitterness. Yummy brew!

[Thanks to MatSciGuy]. 1 pint can. Orangish colour with a good formation of an off-white, creamy, dense, nice lacing and perfect lasting head. Aroma is hoppy, fresh with notes of resins. Flavour has notes of pine, resins, fruits, and slightly caramelish. Smooth on palate and a final with a decent bitterness. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium to high. Texture is slightly oily.

16 oz can from De Bierkoning (at € 3,- very reasonably priced!). Pours a clear copper red color. Tan, sticky head, long retention. Aroma’s: resin, citrus, bitter (acidic), some dried fruit & caramel malt. Flavor is bitter with some (caramel) malty sweet notes. Medium bodied. Finishes herbal bitter. India Red Ale?

I am told that the can I tried had some age on it so i will have to try to get ahold of a fresh can sometime. +++ Sampled from a 16 oz can this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a huge fluffy off white head that left good lacing. The aroma was caramel, pine and grapefruit. The flavor was sweet caramel, pine, grapefruit and faint floral and perfumey hops. The finish was long and dryish floral and fruity hops. Medium body.

Acquired in a trade and very excited to try this. Poured into a Newcastle glass right out of the fridge. A - Poured a light tan head of about 1.5 fingers. The beer itself is a deep amber / wood color. S - Tons of pine from the amazing hops used in this beer. I get roasted notes and some salty bits as well. Lots of sweet going on here. T - Beyond the hops, I’m getting grape juice and apple juice. There’s some sweetness here as well. Also some spices but I can’t pinpoint. Maybe cinnamon? M - Lots of carbonation but the beer still retains the liquid properties even after heavy swishing. O - Delicious. I love canned beers and a canned IPA in pint size just makes my day. Excellent!

Can, big thanks to Tripplebrew. Poured into a shaker. Great eye appeal with solid retention. You get every hop aroma possible. (Pine, grapefruit and a tad floral) Lots of fruit in the taste and a balanced malt to support it. Anything else I say would be a repeat of other ratings… BUT I will say if you are a Hop Head, you need to get a few cans of this. Or take a road trip and get a case or two. This is an amazing IPA, no matter how you spin this or how much you want to dissect it, no flaws at all. I am kind of sensitive when it comes to bitterness… and I still find this fantastic!

Can (trade with Skyview). Sweet orange/tangerine and pine hops aroma. Clear amber color with large head. MIldly sweet orange, barley malt and moderately bitter pine and grapefruit peel hops flavor. Very nice.

Can thanks to a very generous trader. Pours dark amber brown. Off white head. Nose of intense hops, caramel malt. pine, resin and grapefruit. Taste is strong grapefruit, hops, pine, resin and a full caramel malt body. Well balanced. Grapefruit rind bitter finish.

Sampled from can with my good friend raveskdr.I normally don’t buy into the hype, but man the moment this one was poured, it was freaking awesome. Poured an orange color with a medium-small white head. Aroma was grapefruit, pine, hoppy hoppy hoppy. Bitter, pine. It was so wonderful. Alcohol is about perfect, at only 6.2%.

"this is true", thats all i could think when i finally got a chance to try this one, been waiting awhile. sometimes, more so than i would like, things dont add up to the hype surrounding them, maybe sometimes its a fad, or plain doesnt live up to the excitement, but this was really good, and i was happy because of it. good hoppy ipa for those of us hopheads.
