Das gibt es nur im Münsterland: Obergäriges herbes Roggen-Porter, in dem echtes Schwarzbrot mitgemaischt wird. Der Roggen sorgt für eine hohe Vollmundigkeit, die durch feine Schokoladennoten der Röstmalze abgerundet wird.

Bottle @ Assentoft tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are pumpernickel bread, syrop, malt, chocolate and hops.

0,33 l bottle from Edeka Rotthowe in Münster. Murky dark red-brown (if held into the light), almost black with frothy tan head. Slight aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Taste of coffee, pumpernickel and hints of chocolate. Very nice! Some sourness with crisp bitter finish. Creamy mouthfeel, medium body, low carbonation. Really pleasant, definitely underestimated!

Flasche (33 cl) von Getränkefeinkost, Berlin-Friedrichshain. - Kastanienbraun, trüb, wenig Schaum (mehr Schaum gibt’s, wenn man vor dem Eingießen das Hefedepot am Flaschenboden aufrührt). - Nase röstmalzig mit Vollkornbrot, zarter Säure und schwach würzigen Noten wie von Spekulatius. - Antrunk deutlich röstmalzig: Espresso und Bitterschokolade, eingebettet in weiche, wenig süße dunkle Brotigkeit und pikant abgeschmeckt mit zarter fruchtiger Säure. Mild rezent; volles und kremiges Mundgefühl; wie ein saftiger Schokoladenkuchen ohne Zucker. Im Abgang krautige, schwach holzige Hopfenherbe und immer noch das „brotige“ Aroma. - Sehr originelles, perfekt komponiertes Porter, das tatsächlich an das leicht säuerliche westfälische Schwarzbrot erinnert. Ausgezeichnet!

0,33 l bottle, bought at the bierzwerg headquarter. Simple but good looking label art design. Darkest brown, nearly black in the glass, mighty off-white head but not long lasting. Fruity and coffie at the nose. Starts oily creamy, berriefruits, citrus, light sweetness, coffie. Salty hints. No noticeable carbonation. Dry bread bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle: Ruby-amber coloured, a bit hazy, small persistent off-white foamy layer; dryish roasty and dark-malty nose, caramel and a certain fruitiness underneath; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, covering a slight acidity, medium bodied; dryish roasty-bready finish, balanced by some caramel and rounded by shy chocolatey traces. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, leicht säuerlich, Schwarzbrot. Geschmack röstmalzig, Roggen, Schwarzbrot, minimal säuerlich, fruchtig.
