Bottled, dated 27-08-2011 batch 20110804b, large sample. Dark color, short frothy brown head. Aroma of dark chocolat, dark bread, cherries, cherry pits, hint of marzipan, bit caramel. Sweet and a bit sour in taste, slight bitterness. Quite nicely balanced, smooth, good complexity. Nice stuff.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear medium to dark brown with a frothy long-lasting tan head. The aroma is sweet malt with some hoppy notes. The flavour is medium bitter light sweet with a smooth liqourice spice hop palate and a short bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

330ml Bottle (Thanks Benzai) - Dark brown with a pinkish white head. Mince pies, cherries and almonds in the aroma. Fruity, tangy and moderately sweet taste with cherries, strawberry jam and fruitcake. The sweetness is ’lagom’ and it’s a very enjoyable beer.
