medium brown color. Medium bitterness with ok roasted malt and coffee notes. Light body. Somewhat forgettable though shows more depth when it became fairly warm which is a bit odd as temperature it shined at is not the temp you want to drink a dark lager at

Draft at Beach Muffin. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige head that lingers, then dissipates. Cacao nib and roasted coffee on the nose. Some light milk chocolate as it warms. Smooth with some sweetness, but has a nice drying balance to the sweetness. Smooth, medium bodied schwarzbier with lingering cacao on the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of (collab with) Barbaric Works Dark Smith Lagerbier on 26 Dec 2019 at 17:42 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8. Tap at MBCT 2019 Green Session. Dark brown to black. Raosty malt, raisins, chocolate, toasted. Quite roasted malt flavor with some raisins and fruit.
