Made from our B.O.R.I.S. Imperial Stout, that was rated one of the World's 50 Best Beers, and won the Gold Medal at the GABF in 2008. BARREL-AGED B.O.R.I.S. has picked up rich characters of vanilla, dark fruit, oak, and spice. It's unbelievably complex and savory

22 oz bottle poured at Bobβs, generously sent over by Prufrockstar. Huge thanks for this one, my friend! Jet black pour with a spiraling, espresso brown head. Oats, dark chcolate, and a softer bourbon note on the aroma. Flavor is pretty similar, only the bourbon is a little more center stage. Fun barrel treat here. A dry oak to it. A bit dusty. Great oat constant. Late chocolate linger that outlasts the bourbon. Very pleasant imperial here. Awesome stuff.

Intense malty thick. Roast, tobacco, tar, wood, extreme intense. Cherries, dark chocolate, extreme rich. Moderate bitter, round and smooth. No alcohol, intense dark. Fascinating with wood in the end. Thick and great!

Shared 22 oz. bottle. Pour is viscous and almost black with a tan head. Aroma of whiskey, dark malt, chocolate, molasses, and vanilla. Taste is roasted malt, whiskey, dark fruit, chocolate and coffee with perhaps a hint of smoke. Whiskey is complementary to the beer rather than overwhelming as in many other barrel-aged offerings by other breweries. Complex finish with an oily mouthfeel. Heavy-bodied. Fantastic.
