90 Shilling is our smooth and complex flagship beer. A medium-bodied amber ale with a distinct burnished copper color and a deeply pleasant aroma. The name 90 Shilling comes from the Scottish method of taxing beer. Only the highest quality beers were taxed 90 Shillings. We think you’ll find this original ale brilliantly refreshing, and worth every Shilling.

Ah, thank you, Arianna.
This was poured into a thistle for review, but often had a couple in a pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-dark red color with a half finger white foamy head that dissipated within a minute.
The smell had a nice semi-sweet smoky meatiness to it.
The taste was basically the same-with a decent sweet aftertaste to it.
On the palate, this sat right at a medium on the body.
Overall, good Scotch ale I could have again.

Clear medium amber with a mostly white head. Sweet malt aroma. Rich malty flavor, very little hop bitterness. Light bodied. Thanks to crajun for the trade!

12oz bottle pours with a clear deep copper body that supports a semi weak tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dark malt sugars, some brown sugar and molasses as well as thin layers of prune like fruity esters and faint spiciness. The taste starts with malt sweetness leading into sweet caramel malts and a brown sugar note. To midway a mild prune like sweet fruity esters join in and takes this into the finish. For a moment here and there are minerals and spicy hops. Pretty nice.

Amber beer with a decent frothy head. Light fruity aroma with a citrus hint. Taste is light and has a strong vanilla hint to it with a crisp, citrus finish

Sampled at the Untapped festival in Fort Worth. Pours a near clear deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of bread, grain, toffee and biscuit. Flavor is similar with a bit of sweetness from the toffee supported by bread, grain and biscuit.
