Die sorgfältige Auswahl feinster Weizen- und Gerstenmalze verleiht Maisel’s Weisse ihre rötlich leuchtende Bernsteinfarbe und das über Generationen von Braumeistern überlieferte Brauverfahren der Bayerischen Edelreifung mit Hefe aus eigener Reinzucht gibt ihr den einzigartigen Charakter. Der frische Geruch nach feiner Hefe und angenehmen Fruchtnoten verbindet sich beim Antrunk mit der milden Würze aus Malz-, Frucht- und Nelkenaroma und einer Nuance Muskatnuss. Im Nachgang entfaltet sich dann das für Maisel’s Weisse typische, leicht fruchtige, würzige Weissbieraroma.

Bottle. Spicy aroma, clove, light lemony. Hazy golden colour, stable white head. Taste is spicy, clove, balanced bitterness-sweetness, a touch of sourness. High carbonation, refreshing. Good weizen.

Slightly hazy (to very cloudy after pouring the sediment) medium amber colour, huge frothy white head, recedes slowly to a thin layer, not that much lacing. Aroma wheat, yeast, banana, spices (cloves, ginger). Taste medium fruity sweet, slightly sour (citrus), hint of bitterness, spicy notes. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel, light creamy texture, average carbonation, finish fresh wheaty sweetbitter, sour citrus notes. Good example of the style!

0,5L bottle, BB 22.07.2015. Pours hazy amber with white head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is sweet, banana, malt, wheat. Flavor is sweet, fruits, malt, caramel, spicy notes, some citrus, and some hoppy notes. Overall: lovely weizen.

500ml bottle from Moscow supermarket. Pours a murky toffee colour with an big, fluffy head that is characteristic of hefes. Rich aroma of banana and clove. Very nice example of a German hefeweizen.

Classic Bavarian Hefeweizen with yellowish white, irregular, creamy, initially rocky head and deep peach blonde colour, darker than usual for the style, cloudy. Deeply fruity aroma of pear, banana and apricot, cloves, almond, yeast, wheat, bread. Very fruity, sweet onset, soft, nice yeasty spiciness, light hop bitterishness in the finish, where the wheat sourishness also develops, ending dry. Great example of this refreshing and elegant style.
